Verse
…seek, and you will find…
Luke 11:9
Message
- Seek if you have not found. “You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss…” (James 4:3).
- “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters…” (Isaiah 55:1)
- Experience is a doorway, not a final goal.
- you can never give another person what you have found, but you can cause him to have a desire for it.
- “…to him who knocks it will be opened” (Luke 11:10).
- “…knock, and it will be opened to you” (Luke 11:9). “Draw near to God…” (James 4:8)
- “Cleanse your hands…” (James 4:8)
- “…purify your hearts…” (James 4:8)
- “Lament…” (James 4:9)
- “Humble yourselves…” (James 4:10)
Knocking at the door of Christ is an experience, it draw us near to God, Cleanses us, Purify us and humble us as we reach that point of lamenting to our current stand. Seeing all this, our nothingness worst its not even nothing its a state of something that is opposite of pleasant.
This is just a reminder that when we as let it not be those typical things of the flesh but rather of spiritual things, things that really matter things that are of the Lord.
Promise
He will grant us the experience like no other, and experience that will lead us closer and closer to Him, an experience that would lead us to knowing our selves more and more. That Great experience that will lead us to a point of realisation that we are less than nothing and that He is everything but yet he died for us and will do it again because He loves us.
Command
Enjoy the experience, allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in our lives and lead us to things that we should be doing. Never stop knocking until something happens, we are called to pray with persistence we may not be able to receive what we prayed for but we will definitely receive what we should receive and in the same way correct our hearts to in the process.
Warning
There would be times that we would want things dearly and it would not be given us. This is because the Lord wanted something best for us and that is not what we initially wanted. Let this be always in mind never stop praying if we have yet to receive what we prayed for for asking the Lord would lead us to what we should actually be receiving, actually be praying for.
Application
Never stop praying, experience his great power it may or may not correct the desire that we have in our hearts but the experience is the one that is indeed the price.
